Legislative Advocacy

The LRF is strives for improvement of laws, policies and practices so that can be brought into line with international standers. LRF had substantial success in influencing improvements of laws, policies and rules of business at provincial as well as national level.

LRF advocate for strengthening the rule of law; human rights, women rights, child rights, health rights, education rights, criminal justice system, land rights, labour laws, alternate disputes resolutions related reforms, improvement, amendment in laws, polices, rules of business and practices. LRF design research base legislative advocacy and lobbying for highlighting anomalies in the prevailing discriminatory legislative framework by demanding the removal of the discrimination. LRF also design advocacy for new legislation or amendment after the finding of the research and demand of the communities.

The LRF provide practical, technical and strategically support to the our development partners, government departments, institutions, bar councils and district bar association. Together we engage directly and indirectly with national parliaments and provincial assemblies to promote, improved legislative advocacy, legal reforms, policy frameworks related to human rights, women and children, minorities, person with disabilities and transgender rights.

The LRF strengthen civil society movement working to combat discrimination at all level and promote rule of law in Pakistan. We support and strengthen peace and justice movement, collations and help to develop and implement advocacy strategies in a wide range in Pakistan. LRF is the part of advocacy and lobbying the drafting and passing the followings laws, polices, rules of business and legal framework.
