LRF had lead Women Lawyers Network (WLN) as a founder and expert member of the Network. WLN consists of 156 young women advocates from more than 80 districts of Pakistan. These young women lawyers are gender sensitized and legal professionals practitioners at native Bar Associations. They all are committed as a human rights defenders for strengthening the rule of law, improving access to justice, promoting human rights and peace building across Pakistan. They all also providing pro-bono legal assistance to all focusing survivors of gender base violence, children, minorities, person with disabilities and women workers. This network is established after the successful completion of one year project ‘Supporting Women to Join Law Enforcement and judicial System in Pakistan’. This Project was awarded to Legal Rights Forum, Women Social Welfare Organization, Change Through Empowerment and Youth Resource Center under the theme of promoting access to justice and human rights of Gender Equity Program of Aurat Foundation in Collaboration with the Asia Foundation and financial support of USAID.
