Policy Dialogue on Acid Crimes and related Legislation in Sindh

Legal Rights Forum with the support from UN Women has organized the Policy Dialogue on “Acid Crimes and related Legislation in Sindh” on May 24, 2018 at Movenpick Hotel, Karachi. The event was comprised of various sessions. The first session was the event inaugural session based on Welcome Address, Opening Remarks and the Presentation on “Acid Crimes: A Growing Crisis in Pakistan”. During 2nd Session, the house discussed the Medical and Sociological Impacts of Acid Crimes. The 3rd session was to review Draft Sindh Acid Control and Acid Crime Prevention Act and recommend improvements in the draft law. The learned Panelists presented their remarks in the 4th Session. The 5th Session was for questions and answers. The Concluding Session included concluding remarks by the Chief Guest and the vote of thanks. At the end the event, a photo session of event participants along with Panelists and the Chief Guest was held that was followed by Iftar and dinner.
