Networking and Coalitions

LRF believes on mutual help and coordination in achieving common objectives through sharing of information, expertise and resources. To achieving the said objective LRF has become active player in different International, National and Provincial level networks. Legal Protection Network

LRF has taking new initiative by establishing “Legal Protection Network (LPN)” which consists of 40 women advocates from various districts of Sindh. These lawyers are professional legal practitioners on women rights and child rights. This network is established after the successful completion of one year project: “Supporting Women to Join Law Enforcement and Judicial System in Sindh”. This project was awarded to LRF under the Legal Grant of Gender Equity Program of Aurat Foundation in collaboration with The Asia Foundation and financial assistance of USAID.

LRF achieving the objectives of the “Legal Protection Network” join hands multi donors’ launching ceremony of the “Legal Protection Network” with Actionaid Pakistan. Pilot Project of selected 05 Unions Councils of Malir and 05 Thatta for the legal empowerment of the poor, access to justice and ending violence against women and children with the financial assistance of UNDP/UNOPS/INP in 2012.

Women Lawyer Network

LRF has part of ‘’Women Lawyers Network’’ which consist of 156 women advocates from various districts of Sindh, Punjab, KPK, Baluchistan, and Gilgit baltistane established by Gender Cotation Of Pakistan. These Lawyers are Gender sensitized Legal Professional Practitioners on women, child, minorities, and special person rights as Human rights Defenders. This network is established after the successful completion of one year project ‘’ Supporting Women to Join Law Enforcement and judicial System in Pakistan’’. This Project was awarded to Legal Rights Forum (LRF), Women Social Welfare Organization (WSO), Change Through Empowerment (CTE) and Youth Resource Center (YRC) under the Legal Grant of Gender Equity Program of Aurat Foundation in Collaboration with the Asia Foundation and Financial assistance of USAID.

Save the Indus Network

LRF had established “Save the Indus Network” with the collaboration of 14 civil society organizations from Sindh and Baluchistan with the support of Actionaid (Pakistan). The aim of establishment of this network was to bring the other civil society organizations working on the same issue so that they can raise the voice for “The Rights of Indus to Survive” collectively. This network also sensitized comminutes living in and around the River Indus about DRR. It was also work on the issues of the coastal infrastructure, encroachment of land, deforestation and weak institutional framework.
